In areas like Hotoro, Maiduguri Road, and Ahmadu Bello Way, some protesters, mostly teenagers, were seen wielding dangerous weapons and chanting demands for urgent government action.
A significant police presence, including officers from the NSCDC and DSS, was evident at key locations. On Ahmadu Bello Way, police intervened quickly to seize weapons from the demonstrators.
DAILY POST’s correspondent was turned away from Ahmadu Bello Way due to escalating violence among the protesters. The mostly under-20 demonstrators were heading towards the Government House.
Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has urged that if protests continue, they should be conducted peacefully at the Government House, where he promised to personally deliver their demands to the president.
