The Situation Room for the #EndBadGovernanceProtest in Delta State has condemned the harassment, which has been reported at various locations such as Effurun Roundabout, Enerhen Junction, Otovwodo, and Sapele, among other areas.

Reports indicate that protesters are experiencing intimidation, coercion, and human rights violations, sparking widespread concern and outrage.

The Situation Room has advised affected protesters to seek assistance from the Human Rights Committee of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) branches nearest to them. They also urged protesters to document evidence of these violations and called on Delta State Commissioner of Police, CP Olufemi Abaniwonda, to uphold citizens’ rights to peaceful assembly and take immediate action to end the harassment.

The #EndBadGovernanceProtest movement continues to gain traction nationwide, with citizens calling for accountability and improved governance.

“We strongly condemn the harassment and intimidation of peaceful protesters in Delta State and urge the Commissioner of Police to act swiftly to end these abuses,” stated Comrade Awipi Teduolo, representing the Situation Room for #EndBadGovernanceProtest in Delta State.
