Governor Adeleke, through a statement from his spokesperson Olawale Rasheed, highlighted that his administration inherited substantial debts in pensions, cooperative deductions, and half salaries from both Gboyega Oyetola and Rauf Aregbesola, spanning 12 years of APC governance in the state.

The statement detailed that, apart from the cooperative deductions, the state government also paid N716.4 million for the seventh installment of the half-salary payments, totaling N1,688,225,073.72.

Governor Adeleke reiterated his commitment to addressing all inherited debts related to pensions, salaries, and deductions. He emphasized his administration’s focus on improving workers’ welfare, food security, and healthcare services. He also noted that the government’s infrastructure plans are advancing faster than expected, aiming to complete a four-year plan within a midterm.
