In his statement, Aiyedatiwa praised the residents for demonstrating their peaceful nature by avoiding the #EndBadGovernance protest that began on August 1. He noted that their restraint underscored why Ondo State remains one of the most peaceful regions in the country.

The governor’s message, delivered by his Chief Press Secretary, Ebenezer Adeniyan, expressed gratitude for the public’s adherence to his appeal for calm before the protests.

“I want to extend my thanks to the people of Ondo State for upholding peace and not joining the nationwide protests,” Aiyedatiwa said. “Despite the economic challenges we face, their commitment to maintaining tranquility is appreciated.”

He also acknowledged the contributions of students, youth, women, artisans, public servants, and civil society organizations in keeping the peace. Aiyedatiwa assured that upcoming policies, initiatives, and projects will soon start to positively impact the lives of residents.
