This article does not aim to delve into or underscore the achievements of Olumide Osaigbovo Akpata, the Labour Party gubernatorial candidate in Edo, as his reputation is already well-established. Much like household names such as Closeup, which require no additional promotion for Nigerians to recognize and purchase, Akpata enjoys a similar level of recognition in Edo. His name is widely known and familiar to all residents.

Akpata is recognized as one of the most successful individuals in Nigeria and beyond, and is considered a leading lawyer due to his outstanding performance as President of the National Bar Association. Since announcing his gubernatorial ambition almost a year ago, he has garnered significant attention as the most talked-about candidate for governor in the state’s history.
