Man Arrested For Brutally Abusing 4-Year-Old Son

According to a statement from Police spokesperson Sunday Abutu on August 15, 2024, Ogunnusi’s arrest came after a credible tip-off received on Wednesday. The suspect admitted to the crime, attributing his actions to provocation from his son’s misbehavior.
The investigation revealed that Ogunnusi frequently abused his child, using dangerous objects to inflict injuries over minor provocations. On July 14, 2024, at around 1 p.m., the police received another tip-off about the ongoing abuse. Officers from the Oke-lla Divisional Police Headquarters responded promptly, arresting Ogunnusi while he was still in the act.
Abutu confirmed that Ogunnusi will be charged in court. Commissioner of Police Adeniran Akinwale urged the public to report any child abuse or other criminal activities to the police for immediate intervention.
