IGP Egbetokun Vows To Eradicate Criminal Elements In Nigeria

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kayode Egbetokun has affirmed the police’s commitment to eliminating criminal elements threatening Nigeria’s peace and security. He made this statement following the handover of rescued medical students from the Universities of Jos and Maiduguri, who were abducted in Benue State a week ago, to their respective Vice Chancellors in Abuja on Sunday.
Egbetokun emphasized that the Force will use all lawful measures to safeguard Nigerian citizens. He assured the public that the police will remain vigilant, proactive, and relentless in their efforts to ensure a safer Nigeria, prioritizing the security of individuals.
“We are steadfast in our mission to eradicate those who aim to disrupt societal peace and security,” Egbetokun said. “The Nigerian Police Force will utilize every legal method available to protect the lives and property of Nigerians.” He vowed that the Force will persist until all citizens and residents can live without fear or intimidation.
