In separate statements on Saturday, Obi expressed his appreciation for both individuals, noting how their actions have positively impacted Nigeria’s reputation internationally.

Regarding Dankade’s act of returning the money, Obi stated, “I am truly impressed by Auwalu Ahmed Dankade, a young Nigerian working at Malam Aminu Kano International Airport, who returned $10,000 he found while cleaning an aircraft. This act of integrity and honesty is commendable and serves as an example of moral excellence amid challenging economic conditions.”

Obi continued, “Dankade’s choice to uphold honesty despite various temptations deserves recognition. Such individuals should be celebrated as role models for both youth and leaders.”

On Ndukwe’s achievement, Obi remarked, “The recent promotion of Nigerian-born Kelechi Ndukwe to the rank of Captain in the US Navy is a testament to the fact that Nigerians, regardless of their background, can achieve greatness with proper support. Ndukwe is the first Nigerian to command a US Navy warship, demonstrating remarkable determination and resilience.”

Obi encouraged Nigerian youth to look up to Ndukwe’s success as a model of hard work and perseverance, adding, “Ndukwe’s story should inspire leaders to focus on creating an environment that allows talented youths to excel globally.
