Although many have speculated that Abbo is the individual in the video, these claims have not been verified. This incident comes on the heels of a 2019 controversy when Abbo was filmed assaulting a nursing mother in an Abuja sex toy shop, which resulted in significant backlash and legal consequences.
In response to the latest allegations, Abbo held a press conference on Thursday, firmly denying any involvement in the video. He dismissed the claims as an attempt to damage his reputation and argued that the video’s unclear identity does not substantiate the accusations.
Abbo stated, “It is impossible to identify someone based on just parts of their body. Blackmail will not hinder my electoral prospects. Similar scandals have not stopped others from winning elections. My supporters will continue to back me based on my record.”
The former senator also warned that he might pursue legal action against those responsible for spreading the video, asserting that such attempts to tarnish his image would not impact his political future.
