The statement came in response to Wike’s recent remarks in Port Harcourt, where he warned PDP governors against interfering in the party’s affairs in Rivers State and threatened to “put fire in their states.” Wike, a former Governor of Rivers State, asserted that the party’s structure in the state remains under his control.
In reaction, Ologunagba emphasized the party’s supremacy, stating, “What I can tell you is that nobody is above this party. It is the People’s Democratic Party. We have established reconciliation and disciplinary committees to address these issues and will await their reports.”
The PDP also announced that Wike has been summoned to appear before the party’s disciplinary committee. Deputy National Publicity Secretary Ibrahim Abdullahi confirmed in an interview with Channels TV that Wike received a formal letter requesting his appearance before the committee.
