In Kogi State’s Government Area, a tragic event unfolded on the night of Tuesday, September 10, 2024, in Etikpolo Anyigba. Mrs. Rose Eneojoh, a mother of five, was brutally murdered.

Charles Umoru, a family member, confirmed the incident through a Facebook post on Wednesday. He revealed that the assailants admitted they were paid N200,000 to carry out the assassination. Despite Mrs. Eneojoh offering the same amount to spare her life, the killers took the money and still executed her.

Umoru expressed his anguish: “This innocent woman, Mrs. Rose Eneojoh—wife to my brother-in-law—was gruesomely murdered last night at Etikpolo Anyigba. The killers informed her and her husband that they had been paid N200,000 to assassinate her. She offered them the same amount to save her life, but they accepted the money and proceeded to kill her, leaving her husband and five young children in deep sorrow.
