Lawyer Suggests New Bride Strategy For Bobrisky To Expose The Truth
Prominent activist lawyer Madubuachi Idam has called for urgent attention to recent allegations involving popular Nigerian cross-dresser Idris Okuneye, known as Bobrisky, and social media influencer Martins Vincent Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan. Idam stressed that this situation should be treated as a national issue, advocating against making Bobrisky or VeryDarkMan scapegoats……CONTINUE READING
According to Naija News, the controversy ignited when VeryDarkMan released a leaked audio clip in which Bobrisky purportedly claimed to have bribed officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) with ₦15 million to have money laundering charges against him dropped. In the recording, Bobrisky also alleged that, despite being sentenced to six months in Kirikiri prison, he never actually served his time. Instead, he claimed that a powerful benefactor arranged for him to stay in a lodge during his supposed prison term.
Speaking to DAILY POST, Idam remarked, “The audio leakage puts Nigeria’s image on trial, and the entire criminal justice system is under scrutiny. The circulating audio suggests that certain convicts are allowed to serve their sentences in comfortable accommodations rather than the correctional facilities where they are supposed to be confined.”
He further emphasized that this allegation should be treated as a significant national concern, insisting that neither Bobrisky nor VeryDarkMan should become scapegoats. “To uncover the truth, Bobrisky must be treated like a new bride, assured of security and safety, and encouraged to name and shame everyone involved in the allegations. Otherwise, he may deny the claims and the issue could fade away.”
Idam called for clarity on where Bobrisky spent his supposed imprisonment, the specific charges he faced, and who allegedly accepted money to drop some of those charges.
