2027 Presidency: Tinubu Calls For Massive Support As APC Launches Campaign In Kaduna
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has urged Nigerians to turn out in large numbers to re-elect him in the 2027 presidential election, calling on voters to support candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) across all levels of government.
According to Bush Radio Academy, Tinubu made the appeal on Saturday during the flag-off of the APC presidential campaign in Kaduna State, where he encouraged party supporters to work towards securing victories for the ruling party in the forthcoming general elections.
The President said the APC needed to retain power at the federal, state and legislative levels to sustain the implementation of its policies and development agenda.
He specifically urged Nigerians to vote for APC candidates contesting for the presidency, governorship positions, Senate seats, House of Representatives seats and state Houses of Assembly.
Tinubu also expressed confidence that the economic reforms introduced by his administration would begin to produce positive results before the 2027 elections.
His remarks come as the ruling party intensifies its political mobilisation ahead of the next general elections, with the President seeking another term in office.
Meanwhile, the Presidency has highlighted planned investments involving major international companies as evidence that Nigeria remains attractive to investors despite criticism of the Tinubu administration’s economic policies.
Bayo Onanuga, the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, reportedly listed 19 investments and projects across several sectors in a post on X on Saturday, October 24, 2026.
The projects reportedly involve companies such as JPMorgan, Shell, ExxonMobil and Siemens Energy, alongside other businesses operating in sectors including banking, oil and gas, electricity, mining, manufacturing, telecommunications, data centres, ports and logistics.
Onanuga shared the information in response to criticism from opposition figures who have questioned the impact of the administration’s economic reforms since Tinubu assumed office in May 2023.
He accused critics of overlooking developments that the government considers evidence of progress under the President’s leadership.
The Presidency’s response forms part of the broader political debate over the administration’s economic performance, investment prospects and the impact of its policies on Nigerians as the country approaches the 2027 general elections.
