For the North Central region, localized thunderstorms are anticipated over parts of Niger and Kwara states in the morning, with further thunderstorms expected later in the day over the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nasarawa, Plateau, Kogi, and Kwara states.

In southern Nigeria, NiMet predicts localized thunderstorms in Cross River, Akwa Ibom, Lagos, and Ondo states during the morning hours. Later in the day, thunderstorms are expected to affect Oyo, Ondo, Osun, Ogun, Imo, Enugu, Ekiti, Edo, Ebonyi, Delta, Bayelsa, Rivers, Cross River, Lagos, and Akwa Ibom states.

On Tuesday morning, thunderstorms are forecasted in Taraba, Adamawa, Kano, Katsina, and Jigawa states in the northern region. As the day progresses, localized thunderstorms will likely occur in Adamawa, Taraba, Kaduna, Zamfara, Kebbi, Sokoto, Bauchi, Borno, and Gombe states.

For the North Central area, localized thunderstorms are expected over Plateau and Nasarawa states in the morning, followed by similar conditions in the FCT, Plateau, Nasarawa, and Niger states later in the day. In the southern cities, localized thunderstorms are forecast for Delta, Edo, and Ondo states in the morning, with thunderstorms expected in Ogun, Edo, Ekiti, Ondo, Imo, Enugu, Anambra, Lagos, Delta, Rivers, Bayelsa, Cross River, and Akwa Ibom states later on.

On Wednesday, localized thunderstorms are predicted in Kaduna, Zamfara, and Kebbi states during the morning hours, with additional thunderstorms expected in Taraba, Adamawa, Borno, Bauchi, Kaduna, Zamfara, Kebbi, Jigawa, and Kano states.

NiMet has urged residents to avoid flood-prone areas, as heavy downpours may lead to urban flooding in major cities, with strong winds likely preceding the thunderstorms. The agency advises the public to stay informed through its weather updates and recommends that airline operators obtain airport-specific weather reports from NiMet for effective operational planning.
