Chaos Erupts As Bandits Attack Worshippers During Friday Prayers In KatsinaOn Friday, bandits armed with dangerous weapons invaded Dan-Ali, a community in the Danmusa Local Government Area of Katsina State, disrupting Jummat prayers at several mosques.

According to Naija News, a local source who confirmed the incident to Punch said the attackers stormed the area, firing shots indiscriminately. This caused widespread panic, forcing worshippers to flee for safety.

The anonymous source appealed to security agencies for reinforcement, noting that the bandits have been tormenting the community. He added that for over a week, these bandits have prevented farmers from accessing their farmlands in Dan-Ali and nearby areas, including Gwarjo, Dangane, Tudun, Tasha Kadanya, and Tasha Biri.

“We were in the middle of Jummat prayers when we heard gunfire, and everyone ran. We couldn’t continue the prayers. Thankfully, the Security Watch Corps in the area pursued them,” the source said. “We need reinforcement because the bandits are making life difficult for us. Many farmers have been kidnapped, and we are too afraid to go to our farms.”

As of the time of this report, the Katsina State Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Abubakar Sadiq, had not commented on the incident.
