This announcement was made by Mazi Afam Osigwe, Chairman of the NBA, and shared by Amadi on his X (formerly Twitter) handle on Saturday. In his post, Amadi expressed gratitude for the appointment, stating, “Thanks ⁦@afamosigwe⁩ and NBA for the honor of appointing me to chair this important committee to reshape the judiciary towards a justice-based adjudication that promotes democratic accountability.”

According to Osigwe, the ARC will review key appellate court cases regularly, offering detailed analysis to correct legal errors and contribute to jurisprudence that strengthens democracy and justice in Nigeria. The committee will also publish the Nigeria Adjudicature Review quarterly, providing scholarly commentary on cases with significant socio-economic and political relevance.

The NBA President tasked the committee with submitting quarterly reports to assess the judiciary’s role in promoting professional ethics, substantial justice, and democratic accountability.
