Sarkin-Daji praised the Inter-Tribal community for strengthening unity and contributing to the state’s economic growth. The event attracted a large audience, including traditional rulers and dignitaries, and underscored the cohesion within Niger’s Inter-Tribal community.

During the event, the Speaker recognized Mr. Yakubu Itabo, a former teacher who significantly impacted his life. Sarkin-Daji shared fond memories of his education under Itabo, emphasizing the importance of inter-tribal relationships. He recalled how Itabo encouraged him to pursue the social sciences, helping him develop a strong command of English and discipline.

“Itabo taught us without bias, contributing greatly to our society,” Sarkin-Daji stated. “His teachings have created many successful individuals in Niger State, demonstrating the power of inter-tribal cooperation.”

Itabo expressed surprise and gratitude for the recognition, stating he never expected such an honor from his former student. “I was just doing my job as a teacher, and now I see that a teacher’s reward comes not only in heaven but also here on earth,” he remarked.
