During a courtesy visit from the student representatives in Minna, Danmamman congratulated the newly elected executives and promised an open-door policy for collaboration on issues affecting students in the state.
He praised the student leaders for their improving quality of leadership, noting that tensions between students and authorities have significantly decreased. “The government is becoming more responsive, alleviating suspicions among students and the public. You should act as ambassadors of peace and progress; engage actively as responsible citizens,” he stated.
Danmamman encouraged students to work with security agencies and report any suspicious activities to foster a safer environment. “We must all unite for the security of lives and property. Community vigilance is crucial in keeping unwanted elements away,” he added.
Earlier, the NANS chairman expressed the purpose of their visit as seeking mentorship and partnership with the police, thanking the Commissioner for his effective management of student affairs, including protests and strikes, without any violence.
