The PDP claims that APC’s state chairman, Ade Adetimehin, is orchestrating plans to assign APC members as presiding officers and assistant presiding officers at polling units across the state, bypassing the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) required training for these roles.
In a statement by PDP’s state publicity secretary, Kennedy Peretei, the party alleges that Adetimehin submitted a list of APC-affiliated individuals to INEC for these positions, despite their lack of necessary training.
In response, APC’s publicity secretary, Alex Kalejaye, denied the accusations, asserting that the APC has no intention of compromising the election. He emphasized that the party’s focus is on engaging with the electorate through their extensive campaign efforts across Ondo’s 18 local government areas.
“We have no reason to compromise the election,” Kalejaye stated. “Our focus is on delivering for the people, with projects and improvements across the state.
