Biafra Activist Simon Ekpa Detained In FinlandSimon Ekpa, a Finnish-Nigerian separatist leader, has been arrested in Finland for his alleged involvement in terrorism-related activities. According to BBC Pidgin, Ekpa was remanded in prison by the Päijät-Häme District Court. The Central Criminal Police of Finland confirmed the arrest on Thursday, stating that four individuals were detained in connection with terrorist crimes. The police indicated that Ekpa is the primary suspect, facing charges of incitement to terrorism, while the others are accused of financing terrorist activities.

The Finnish authorities also revealed that the suspects’ claims would be heard in court on November 21. Ekpa’s arrest follows growing calls for action against him, particularly in relation to his role in organizing the controversial Sit-At-Home protests, which have significantly disrupted economic activities in southeastern Nigeria.
