The Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau (NSIB) has initiated an investigation into a serious incident involving a Fly Bird HS 125 aircraft, registration number 5NKAL. The aircraft, which was flying from Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, to Kotoka International Airport, Accra, encountered technical difficulties during its flight on December 6, 2024.

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has arrested 42-year-old building engineer Egwuh Inya on suspicion of drug trafficking. Inya was apprehended on December 2 at Okeyson Motor Park in Enugu while attempting to collect three units of pressure machines containing 7.40 kg of Loud, a synthetic strain of cannabis.

The Gombe State Police Command has arrested several suspects in connection with the death of one person during a clash between youths and Fulani herders in Lano Village, Yamaltu Deba Local Government Area. The police spokesperson confirmed the arrests on Sunday.
