BREAKING: Fire Razes Church In IbadanA devastating fire broke out on Friday night at a parish of the Christ Apostolic Church in Ibadan, Oyo State, reportedly trapping several worshippers inside the building. Eyewitnesses reported that the church was hosting a Friday vigil when the fire erupted. One source recalled, “It happened around 9:30 pm. They were having the Friday vigil, and some worshippers had already fallen asleep to rest before continuing the vigil when the fire broke out.”

Another witness described the chaotic scene, mentioning an elderly woman who was unable to escape due to her limited mobility: “There was an elderly woman, very frail, who couldn’t move properly. She was still inside when the fire was raging out of control.”

A church member, who asked to remain anonymous, confirmed that people were still inside the church during the fire, adding that they would provide further details later.

At the time of reporting, the cause of the fire remained unclear. The General Manager of Oyo State Fire Services, Akinyemi Akinyinka, confirmed the incident, stating, “Our team responded to the situation based on information from Kunle Junaid.” He assured the public that more details would be provided as investigations progress.
