Unmasking The Truth: Adamawa Police Deny Armed Robbery Attack On Fintiri’s Convoy

Published

The Adamawa State Police Command has refuted claims circulating on social media that Governor Ahmadu Fintiri’s convoy was attacked by armed robbers in Taraba State. In a statement released on Thursday, the State Commissioner of Police, Moris Danwambo, dismissed the reports as entirely false and misleading.

According to Danwambo, the incident occurred on December 19, when the advance security vehicle, part of the governor’s convoy, encountered a roadblock set up by criminals. The advance vehicle, which typically operates ahead of the convoy as a precautionary measure, came across the roadblock, causing other vehicles to stop.

Quick to act, the governor’s security team, composed of dedicated officers, swiftly neutralized the threat by chasing away the robbers, clearing the road, and allowing other drivers to continue their journey safely.

The Commissioner of Police commended the officers for their swift response and urged social media users to verify information before spreading it. He also thanked journalists for their role in promoting peace and informing the public.
