In her New Year message on Wednesday, Mrs. Tinubu urged Nigerians to rise above their differences and work towards building bridges of love, respect, and understanding. She emphasized the government’s commitment to empowering the youth, women, and children, while ensuring the dignity of the elderly is upheld.

“As we step into 2025, let us transcend our differences and rebuild the bridges that unite us—bridges of love, respect, and understanding,” Mrs. Tinubu stated. “This is the year to invest in each other, nurture our youth, and safeguard the dignity of our elders, creating a nation where every Nigerian can flourish, regardless of their background, beliefs, or language.”

Meanwhile, former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi also shared a New Year message, urging Nigerians to remain steadfast in their faith and hope for a better future. “Dear Nigerians, I welcome you into the New Year with a message of hope and encouragement, acknowledging the challenges we face,” Obi said. “Let us stay grounded in our faith in God, who will lead us to a renewed Nigeria.”
