Wike, accompanied by his wife and other top politicians, attended the graduation ceremony and shared photos of the event on social media on Tuesday.
Reacting on Facebook, Sowore accused Wike of looting Rivers State funds during his tenure as governor and criticized him for failing to establish schools in Nigeria capable of providing quality education for his children, despite serving as Nigeria’s Minister of Education for four years.
Sowore wrote:
“You were governor for eight years in Rivers State, one of Nigeria’s wealthiest states. You looted the state dry and couldn’t build a single school where your children could earn a Master’s in Law. What a crying shame!
“Nyesom Wike has held numerous positions: Ex-local government chairman (two terms), Ex-Minister of Education (4 years), Ex-Governor of Rivers State (two terms, 8 years), and now FCT Minister. Yet, he failed to build a school good enough for his children to study, resorting to sending them to UK schools funded by stolen money.”
