The delegation, led by Chief Dumo Lulu-Briggs, Chairman of the Committee, included prominent members such as the National President of the Ijaw National Congress (INC), Prof. Benjamin Okaba.

During the visit, the committee updated Governor Fubara on the progress made in organizing a fitting burial for Pa Clark. The late Pa Clark was a respected leader and elder statesman, renowned for his invaluable contributions to nation-building and his advocacy for social justice. His influence on the Ijaw Nation, the Niger Delta, and Nigeria as a whole is immeasurable.

Governor Fubara previously described Pa Clark as a “quintessential leader” who fearlessly spoke out against injustice, leadership failures, and marginalization, while promoting national unity.

Chief Dumo Lulu-Briggs, Chairman of the Burial Committee, emphasized that the visit was a significant step in ensuring that Pa Clark’s burial would reflect the respect and honor due to his legacy and contributions.
