Nigerian artist Oludipe Oluwasanmi David, popularly known as Spyro, has criticized wealthy individuals for their reluctance to pay for services while splurging on luxuries, particularly women.
According to reports, the “Who’s Your Guy” hitmaker took to Instagram to express frustration, stating that rich people often expect free services because of their status. He emphasized that despite their wealth, many avoid paying for value, even as they spend recklessly on romantic indulgences.
“The people that owe the most are the rich. Always wanting free things, especially your so-called billionaires. They can spend hundreds of millions on women, but when it comes to paying for value, they start acting up,” Spyro wrote.
He made it clear that such behavior won’t be tolerated in his dealings, noting:
“Don’t bring that near me. I worked hard to be where I am today, and I’m not poor. If you want my services, you pay my price. Simple.”
Spyro: “No Marriage Until I Have ₦500 Million”
In a separate post, the “Only Fine Girl” crooner opened up about his challenging childhood, saying poverty shaped his determination to succeed and protect his future children from a similar fate.
He lamented how poverty can push children into crime and immoral acts, stressing that many from his generation should be more focused on breaking the cycle rather than chasing fleeting pleasures.
“My childhood wasn’t easy. I never even had toys as a kid. That experience shaped my resolve to end poverty in my bloodline. I decided I wouldn’t get married until I have ₦500 million in my account,” he revealed.
Spyro added that he prayed, fought, and worked hard to achieve financial stability, ensuring that his children will never go through the struggles he endured.
“We should focus on ending poverty, not criticizing. Let’s raise better kids and build a better future.”
