I Funded My Brother’s Dream Wedding – Kcee Spills On E-Money’s Glamorous Day
Popular Nigerian singer Kingsley Okonkwo, widely known as Kcee, has revealed that he attained financial success before his younger brother, Emeka Okonkwo, famously known as E-Money.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Speaking on the Tea With Tay podcast, Kcee explained that E-Money, now a billionaire businessman, once served as his manager during the early days of his music career. He also disclosed that he contributed financially to E-Money’s wedding.
Reflecting on their journey, Kcee remarked that if he had invested the same energy into business as he did in music, he would have amassed even greater wealth by now.
“E-Money used to be my manager when I rose to fame with KC-Presh. I made money before him and was among those who sponsored his wedding. But as time went on, he ventured into business and began earning even more.”
He continued,
“If I had dedicated the years I put into music into business, I would have been ten times richer. E-Money owns businesses that generate steady income, whereas as an artist, your earnings fluctuate—sometimes you have a hit, sometimes you don’t.”
Kcee also shared the deep bond he shares with his brother:
“Our connection runs deep. My mother told me that when E-Money was born, I held his hand and cried tears of joy. I even stayed with him for three days at the hospital. We grew up inseparable.”
He recalled giving E-Money his iconic nickname:
“Back then, I was K-Money, Prech was P-Money, and Emeka became E-Money—even before the wealth came. I would shout ‘E-Money’ in my songs, and people thought I was the one. It wasn’t until he gained fame that people knew who E-Money really was.”
Despite warnings from some who feared that E-Money might outshine him, Kcee said he never allowed jealousy to creep in.
“People advised me to stop promoting E-Money in my songs so he wouldn’t overshadow me, but I’ve never been jealous. He’s my brother, and I’m proud of his success.”
