According to a statement by NNPC Ltd.’s Chief Corporate Communications Officer, Olufemi Soneye, Ojulari emphasized the importance of harmonizing efforts to drive progress and enhance performance across Nigeria’s oil and gas sector.
He noted that the new NNPC leadership team entered office with a clear vision rooted in collaboration and a determination to make a lasting impact.
Ojulari underscored that NNPC Ltd.’s success would be anchored on strategic partnerships with the Ministry of Petroleum Resources, the Ministry of Finance, and other relevant institutions to eliminate bureaucratic bottlenecks and accelerate progress.
“We approach this responsibility with a partnership mindset—working hand-in-hand with the Ministry of Petroleum Resources, the Ministry of Finance, and other critical stakeholders. Our mission is to bridge gaps, align objectives, and move forward collectively. Opposition breeds stagnation; collaboration drives success,” Soneye quoted him as saying.
In response, Minister Lokpobiri expressed strong confidence in the new NNPC leadership, citing his familiarity with several members of the executive team and the outstanding professional reputation they command.
“This is perhaps the most formidable leadership team NNPC Ltd. has ever had. The focus now must be on translating this strength into tangible results—especially by boosting crude oil production and ensuring maximum value delivery to Nigerians,” Lokpobiri said.
He assured the GCEO of his full backing and strategic guidance, stating that his office would work in close coordination with NNPC Ltd. to enable a supportive environment for its operations and help the company fulfill its national objectives.
“This renewed synergy marks the beginning of a transformative era for the oil and gas industry—characterized by focused collaboration, operational excellence, and a shared vision for national development,” he added.
