Recall that Lai Mohammed, Minister of Information and Culture said in Washington DC that Obi and his running mate, Baba Datti Ahmed are committing treason and inciting insurrection because they lost the presidential election to Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Obi denied Lai Mohammed’s allegations, claiming he is always “advocating for peace and issue-based campaign and never campaigned based on ethnicity or religion.” CONTINUE READING

“I read @PeterObi‘s statement denying alleged treason. I believe the #NigerianElections2023 was rigged. However, I agree that Datti Baba-Ahmed’s comments were near treasonable. If Obi does not condemn his running mate’s comments, then he is guilty by association!.”
“Nigeria dodged the mother of all bullets!.”
“I believe in protesting a rigged election and have participated in more protests than Obi and Datti combined. However, anybody who commits treason can be arrested. And NOTHING will happen. There are bigger fish than Datti in prison and Nigeria has not collapsed!.”
