Recall that Wole Soyinka has been trending on social media platforms after slamming Datti over unfiltered words and threats in live interviews.

Soyinka, 88, therefore, asked for a one-on-one debate with Datti which the Labour Party declined the offer demanded that their vice presidential candidate will do a debate only with his preferred candidate in the 2023 presidential election.
Shehu Sani reacted to Soyinka’s interview request and claimed “It’s improper to debate with elders”.
He said on his verified Twitter handle;
Datti should not debate with Soyinka;In Africa,it’s improper to debate with elders,no matter how unpalatable comes their words.Kongi is our national asset even if his views differs from yours.But if Datti wants to debate with Lai it’s ok,he’s employed & paid to talk & talk.
