As Christians celebrate this year’s Easter, Edo State politician and business magnate, Engr Moses Omo-Ikirodah has sent his best wishes to Christians in Nigeria and around the world, encouraging them to share love and build peace in accordance with the significance of the season.

In a statement that he personally signed and made available to the media Saturday night, he highlighted that Nigerians must adopt the spirit of sacrifice and be selfless in our behaviour towards one another by fostering love and upholding peace.

“Easter is a chance to reflect on the meaning of God’s unending love for us and how He sacrificed His Son so that We May Be Saved. As a matter of commitment, we ought to reflect the life of Jesus Christ, who died for our transgressions and rose from the dead to secure our redemption.

This is a season of optimism, love, togetherness, and peace; we must embrace these virtues and demonstrate them to one another.

Our politicians must abandon their greed and embrace the spirit of sacrifice for the greater good of the people, as the people must now be the focus of their attention. Self-service should be completely shunned in favour of policies that are people-oriented.

We should not be discouraged since victory awaits both our nation and ourselves in the future. As a result, we must act in ways that please both God and our neighbours.

Let us tread the path of optimism, always seeking peace, and working to find solutions to the problems we all face.”
