National Applause: NOA Praises Arrest Of Suspects Behind Benue Carnage

In a statement released in Abuja yesterday, the Director General of the National Orientation Agency (NOA), Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu, described the arrest of the suspected masterminds as a clear demonstration of the unwavering dedication of security agencies to safeguarding the lives and property of Nigerians.
Issa-Onilu noted that the swift action taken by the security forces has brought significant relief to the affected communities as well as to other parts of the nation. The statement, issued by the agency’s Deputy Director of Communication and Media, Mr. Paul Odenyi, also commended the relentless efforts of the security agencies in maintaining peace and order across the country.
He expressed confidence in the ability of the security forces to effectively carry out their duties, emphasizing that the arrest would serve as a strong deterrent to others who might be contemplating similar brutal acts.
The NOA Director General further applauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for directing security agencies to track down and apprehend those responsible for the heinous crime.
Highlighting NOA’s ongoing collaboration with the government on national security issues, Issa-Onilu pointed out that peace and security form a core part of the commitments made under the Nigerian Promise of the National Values Charter.
He affirmed that the recent arrest marks a tangible step toward fulfilling that promise to the Nigerian people.
