James Faleke Playing The Role Of Chief Of Staff Since 19 Gbidigbidi By Osigwe Omo-Ikirodah

In local vernacular, when we say 19 Gbidigbidi, we mean as long as time in memorial; today, the primary politicking has begun following the presidential elections, which saw Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu win with a stunning display, much to the surprise of bookmakers.

Right from the start leading up to the APC presidential primaries, there were many intrigues at work that saw Tinubu overcome all challenges to secure the party ticket. Tinubu faced off against the so-called “ANOINTED” candidate, who was anonymous but put up a valorous fight; Tinubu ultimately prevailed and won the APC ticket.

Tinubu NO BE Power Mike; even Power Mike cannot succeed without the help of others and his coaching crew. These stumbling blocks that Tinubu had to face were designed not only to bring him down, but also to act as the worst humiliation of his life and political career.

It was what we locally refer to as “FINISH HIM.” In Mortal Combat, when you put up a flawless fight against your opponent, the computer provides you plenty of opportunities to make some finishing moves with the defeated opponent helpless to put up a struggle.

That was the plan for Asiwaju, who was also intended to be embarrassed and booed out of politics and into an early retirement in addition to being humiliated in the party primary.

When this happens, teamwork is put into practise, and the team members say, “We’ve got your back.”

A chief of staff’s responsibility is to assist executive personnel in their positions by taking on their minor duties or managing other day-to-day tasks.

Their responsibilities include attending meetings on the executive leader’s behalf and taking notes, leading and implementing various strategic planning processes across the organisation, and providing important company information to leadership members in preparation for upcoming meetings or presentations.

James Abiodun Faleke, who represents Ikeja Federal constituency at the National Assembly has been a team player by coordinating Asiwaju’s logistics from time in memorial to neutralise any mistakes made by opponents.

So when you hear people shouting Faleke deserves Chief Of Staff , he deserves SGF etc dem no dey carry talk am.

Before becoming the PCC secretary, who served as Asiwaju’s eyes and primary planner at the APC Presidential Campaign Council, Faleke was involved in coordinating several actions for Tinubu, which cannot be denied.

The politician essentially abandoned his business, big farm, and immediate family to get so many things in order for Tinubu to Stand Tall.

Allow me to remind you of a personal witness to at least a strong case.

Remember when the APC insisted that 370 statutory delegates sign the presidential candidates’ statement of interest and nomination forms last year? The ruling All Progressives Congress’s presidential candidates fell into a panic.

It seemed practically impossible for some of the aspirants to get those delegates to sign up, but Faleke had already gotten thousands of delegates to come down to Abuja to sign even as others had still to figure out where they would see delegates come and sign their own nomination forms.

Even the presidential form was picked up and submitted on Tinubu’s behalf by James Faleke, whose activities as Secretary to the Presidential Campaign Council have been extremely valuable to the Jagaban.

Faleke meets with hundreds  of support groups each month, receiving them on behalf of both the Jagaban and the APC as a whole. His contributions have been immeasurable, and those who have interacted with him find his modest services to be endearing; as a result, there is a clamour for him to take on the role of chief of staff.

Dem say na Baba wey do well make dem join Emilokan, na leaders wey do well na make people dey shout come be Chief of Staff, abeg carry us along when you get there.

When May 29th, 2023, rolls around, Hon. James Faleke would be a good choice to fill the position of Chief of Staff to the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
