According to him, the APC’s popularity is rapidly diminishing in Kano State—a crucial political battleground with one of the largest voting populations in Nigeria. In response, the party is reportedly eyeing Kwankwaso’s political capital and the widespread support of his movement, Kwankwasiyya.

“They’ve been reaching out to Senator Kwankwaso to join the APC because of his track record and his massive grassroots following,” Sharada stated. “He distanced himself from the party because he does not agree with their governance style. Politics is about numbers, and they know he commands them—especially in Kano and the North-West.”

Sharada further suggested that the recent resignation of Abdullahi Ganduje as APC National Chairman may be connected to the party’s broader plan to attract Kwankwaso back to its ranks.

“Perhaps the APC has now put its strategy in place. They are desperate for numbers due to their anti-people policies, which have cost them public support,” he said. “They’re now looking to bring in someone who still enjoys the confidence of the masses.”

He emphasized that Kwankwaso’s supporters are deeply loyal and will follow him to any political platform he chooses to align with ahead of the 2027 elections.

“What many don’t understand is that Senator Kwankwaso’s followers value him more than any political party. Their support is based on his track record and the tangible impact he has made on people’s lives across the region,” he concluded.
