Dantata Buried In Holy Land – Dangote, Emirs, FG Honor Business Icon In Emotional Ceremony

Prominent Nigerian businessman and philanthropist, Alhaji Aminu Dantata, who passed away on Saturday in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, has been laid to rest in Madinah, Saudi Arabia.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

His Janazah (funeral) prayer was held on Tuesday after the Maghrib prayer at the Prophet’s Mosque, followed by burial at the historic Al-Baqi Cemetery, in line with Islamic burial traditions.

A high-level Federal Government delegation, led by Defence Minister Muhammad Badaru Abubakar, attended the funeral to pay their final respects.

The delegation, which departed Nigeria on Sunday and arrived in Madinah on Monday, also included Attorney General Lateef Fagbemi (SAN), Minister of Information Mohammed Idris, Minister of State for Housing Hon. Yusuf Abdullahi Ata, and Hassan Abdullahi, Director of Internal Security at the Office of the National Security Adviser.

The late statesman’s body was accompanied to Saudi Arabia by his son, Tajudeen Dantata, his nephew and Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, along with other family members.

Also present at the solemn rites were Deputy Senate President Senator Barau Jibrin, former APC National Chairman Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, and the governors of Kano and Jigawa States, Abba Kabir Yusuf and Umar Namadi, respectively.

The ceremony was further dignified by the presence of both the current Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, and his predecessor, Aminu Ado Bayero, underscoring Dantata’s immense stature in traditional and religious spheres.

Leading Islamic clerics, including Sheikh Bashir Aliyu Umar, Sheikh Aminu Daurawa, and Khalifa Abdullahi Muhammad, the Imam of the Dantata Mosque in Abuja, also participated in the spiritual send-off.
