Wike Taunts Critics: ‘I Never Knew Progress In FCT Could Hurt So Many People

Wike argued that such assertions are baseless and likely stem from frustration over the progress and positive developments currently taking place in the FCT.

Speaking on Friday at the commissioning of the Aguma Palace–Radio Nigeria–New Market Road in Gwagwalada Area Council, Wike indirectly referenced a presidential aspirant from the opposition coalition, choosing not to disclose the individual’s identity.

However, he noted that the aspirant’s wife is a known industrialist and hinted that he would reveal more during a future media engagement.

“I didn’t realize how much it bothered some people that things are going so well in the FCT—until I watched Politics Today last night. I saw one of the coalition party’s presidential aspirants, whose wife is an industrialist, visibly upset over the fact that the President, Vice President, Senate President, Speaker, and SGF are all commissioning projects. Yet they claim Nigerians are angry,” Wike said.
