Speaking in Abuja on Tuesday, Alausa dismissed the claims as baseless and urged the public to ignore them.

“It’s no accident that our public tertiary institutions have remained open and stable for nearly two years—something that hasn’t occurred in decades,” he stated.

He credited the ongoing industrial harmony across federal universities to consistent dialogue, mutual understanding, and the Tinubu administration’s commitment to addressing the needs of the education sector.

“This harmony is a result of our administration’s dedication to building respectful and productive relationships with all education stakeholders. We are systematically addressing demands with transparency and consistency,” Alausa explained.

Reaffirming the priorities of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, the minister emphasized the importance of student welfare and an uninterrupted academic calendar.

“Our students are the future of this nation. Their education must not be interrupted. The Federal Government remains committed to continuous engagement with education unions to keep our institutions open,” he added.

Alausa urged the public to disregard any reports claiming ASUU has resumed industrial action, calling such information inaccurate and disruptive.
