Defying her ongoing suspension, the embattled lawmaker had earlier announced her intention to resume plenary. However, a video circulating online shows her convoy being stopped at the first gate of the National Assembly by security operatives.
Seated in a black vehicle, Senator Natasha was initially halted by the guards. Moments later, she stepped out and proceeded on foot, flanked by supporters including prominent activist Aisha Yesufu.
At the second checkpoint, they were stopped again and instructed to turn back. Undeterred, they moved forward, only to be met with a locked final gate, effectively blocking her from entering the main legislative chambers.
After multiple failed attempts, the group eventually dispersed. Speaking afterward, Natasha expressed deep disappointment over the incident and confirmed that she would be consulting her legal team for the next course of action. She vowed to return once the Senate concludes its expected two-month recess.
