In a video shared on her Instagram page, Laura—who noted that she studied psychology—expressed her long-standing curiosity about how women continue to be sexually involved with their abusers despite suffering physical violence.
“I’ve always wanted to understand—women in abusive marriages or relationships, those frequently beaten by their husbands, spouses, or boyfriends—how do you do it? How do you still have sex with a man who just assaulted you? How do you let him touch you again? I mean, you get beaten and a month later, you’re pregnant. I’ve wanted to ask this for a very long time. How do you allow a man who often hits you to still have sex with you?” she asked.
