Motunde Breaks Silence: Actress Speaks On Pregnancy & Abortion Allegations With Mr Macaroni

Nigerian actress Omotunde Sogunle, widely known as Motunde from Mr. Macaroni’s comedy skits, has opened up about how a damaging false rumor once left her deeply shaken.

In an interview, the actress recounted how she was falsely accused of getting pregnant for her on-screen father, Mr. Macaroni, and even alleged to have terminated the pregnancy.

Motunde clarified that the story was completely baseless, stressing that her relationship with Mr. Macaroni has always been strictly professional.

She admitted that the rumor caused her significant distress at the time but revealed she has since healed from the experience, now able to laugh about it with Mr. Macaroni himself.

Reflecting on the incident, she said one of her biggest lessons was learning the power of silence in the face of falsehoods, noting that reacting often gives such stories more life.

“They claimed I got pregnant for my on-screen dad – Mr. Macaroni – and aborted it. I was stunned. When did that happen? It’s impossible. Why must people assume such things between colleagues? It devastated me then.

“But one thing I’ve learned from Mr. Macaroni is to keep silent for peace of mind. The more you try to counter lies, the longer the matter drags and the more you’re forced to explain.”
