No Escape For Tinubu In 2027 If Kwankwaso Joins” – APC Insider Sounds Alarm
A founding member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Sam Nkire, has stated that the return of New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) presidential candidate, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, to the ruling party would secure President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Nkire, in a statement issued on Sunday, urged Tinubu to make every effort to bring Kwankwaso back into the APC fold ahead of the next general elections.
“Although Tinubu may still win in 2027, Kwankwaso’s inclusion would be the final assurance — it would nail the coffin,” Nkire remarked.
The APC stalwart, who supported Kwankwaso during the 2014 presidential primaries against Muhammadu Buhari, stressed that Tinubu should have no difficulty reaching a political understanding with his longtime ally.
“President Tinubu should have no problem reaching an agreement with Kwankwaso, given their long-standing friendship and his awareness of the reasons Kwankwaso left the APC in the first place,” he explained.
Nkire recalled accompanying Kwankwaso on several occasions in 2014 to visit Tinubu, who was then APC’s National Leader, in a bid to secure his backing against Buhari.
“Tinubu always said, ‘I’m sorry, I have given my word to General Buhari,’” Nkire recounted.
On the conditions for Kwankwaso’s potential return or a merger with the APC, Nkire expressed confidence in Tinubu’s political acumen.
“I trust President Tinubu’s ability to strike deals and negotiate, whether in business or politics. If this deal pulls through, it will further strengthen my belief that the next president will emerge through either a merger, a coalition, or a collaboration,” he added.
