Wike Opens Up: Why I May End Up As A Pastor
The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, said he doubts he could ever become a pastor.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
He made the comment on Wednesday while commissioning the Ikot-Esu-Otomo-Azumini road in Akwa Ibom State, and asked Governor Umo Eno to keep him in his prayers—acknowledging that the pastoral calling is not his.
Wike urged Governor Eno to continue leading with forgiveness, describing mercy as a sign of strength rather than weakness.
“Keep doing good. Forgiveness is not a weakness; it is strength. Always relate well with those who helped you before—this doesn’t make you weak. You have chosen to move Akwa Ibom forward, and I will keep supporting you,” he said.
In his trademark frank style, Wike added that, while he recognizes Eno’s spiritual gift for ministry, he does not feel the same calling.
“You are humble and a man of God—keep showing respect to those around you. As for me, I’m not sure I can be a pastor. It requires a strong character. Pray for me while I continue to back you. Politics is mutual support: you do for me, I do for you,” he concluded.
