Omokri via his Twitter handle reacted to this plan claiming they “will face great peril if they try to cross a war zone to get to the Egyptian border.”

He wrote:

“How does the Nigerian Government expect Nigerians stranded at Sudan’s Southern border with Ethiopia to get to their Northern border with Egypt? It does not make sense to only evacuate through Egypt. There is a war. Our people will face great peril if they try to cross a war zone to get to the Egyptian border.
