The Honourable Minister of Regional Development, Engr. Abubakar Momoh, FNSE, yesterday received the Vice Chancellor of the University of Benin, Prof. Edoba B. Omoregie, SAN, in his office in Abuja.
The courtesy visit provided an opportunity for both leaders to explore potential areas of collaboration between the Ministry and the University, particularly in research-driven regional development, youth empowerment, and capacity-building initiatives that align with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Prof. Omoregie commended the Minister’s visionary leadership and his inclusive approach to development planning across Nigeria’s regions. In response, Engr. Momoh emphasized the importance of partnerships between academia and government institutions, noting that “no nation grows beyond the quality of its thinkers and innovators.”
The meeting signals a renewed commitment to harnessing intellectual resources for national growth and sustainable regional transformation.
