Yemi Alade Finally Reveals Why A Collab With Tiwa Savage May Never Happen

Speaking on the “WithChude” podcast on YouTube, the Johnny crooner explained that she would “rather stay clear” to avoid unnecessary complications in her life.
While affirming her commitment to supporting other women in the industry and noting her history of working with several female artistes, Yemi Alade stated that a collaboration with Tiwa Savage is unlikely due to tensions often stirred by fans and the media.
“But I know the fan-favourite collaboration is with Tiwa Savage,” she said. “I’d rather stay clear; I don’t want problems in my life. There’s no issue at all. The truth is, most fans and the media tend to stir waters that should remain calm. There’s literally no problem.”
It will be recalled that Yemi Alade and Tiwa Savage had a public spat in December 2018, after Alade appeared to shade unnamed female entertainers who, according to her, deceive fans by enhancing their body features in photos shared online.
Although she didn’t mention any names, the post came just hours after Tiwa Savage uploaded curvy pictures on Instagram. In a swift response, Tiwa fired back with a pointed message on her page, writing: “Don’t start a war you can’t finish.”
