Chukwueze, on loan from AC Milan, has yet to start a Premier League match since arriving in London. His deal includes an option for Fulham to make the move permanent for about €23 million. Despite his limited minutes, the Nigerian winger has already provided two assists in five league outings.

“It’s still early, but everyone can see the quality Chukwueze brings,” Silva said ahead of Fulham’s London derby against Tottenham Hotspur. “We want to see consistency in his performances, in the way he trains every day, and also how he adapts physically to the demands of the Premier League.”

In another development, Brentford midfielder Frank Onyeka has reflected on his loan spell at Bundesliga side Augsburg, describing it as a crucial phase in his growth.

The 27-year-old featured in 31 league games for Augsburg during the 2024–2025 season before returning to Brentford, where he has impressed under manager Keith Andrews.

Onyeka, who has made nine appearances and registered two assists this season, said his time in Germany taught him valuable lessons about intensity. “People often say players run more in the Bundesliga than in the Premier League. When I got there, I felt it. They always want to attack with every ball,” he said.
