Old Wounds Reopened: 2Face Reveals Where Faze Stands In Blackface Feud
Nigerian music icon Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Face, has spoken on the role of his former bandmate, Faze, in the long-running dispute between him and Blackface.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Addressing the issue midway through his performance at the Made in Benue Festival in Makurdi, 2Face clarified that Faze has always remained neutral in the feud that has followed the defunct Plantashun Boiz group for years.
According to the singer, whatever disagreements exist between himself and Blackface have no connection to Faze.
“You all know Plantashun Boiz was made up of Blackface, 2Face and Faze. Due to certain circumstances, Blackface is not with us today. But regardless of whatever issues exist between me and Blackface, Faze has nothing to do with it,” 2Face told the audience.
He added that Faze was present at the event to represent the iconic group, emphasising that his former bandmate has never taken sides in the dispute.
The rift between 2Face and Blackface dates back to the early 2000s following the breakup of the group. Over the years, Blackface has repeatedly accused 2Face of intellectual property theft—allegations the award-winning singer has consistently denied.
Despite multiple attempts at reconciliation, the relationship between the two artists has remained strained, with peace efforts often collapsing shortly after they begin.
