Rabiu Kwankwaso, former governor of Kano and national leader of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), has cautioned party members against abandoning the NNPP, warning that anyone who betrays the party is destined to fail politically.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

He made the remarks while addressing supporters in Kano amid rumors that some members of the Kwankwasiyya Movement are contemplating a defection to the All Progressives Congress (APC) to boost Kwankwaso’s presidential prospects.

Abdullahi Rogo, Director-General of the Protocol Directorate at the Kano State Government House, speaking on behalf of the movement, said the proposed switch was intended to serve Kano’s interests.

However, Kwankwaso firmly discouraged the move, emphasizing that betrayal never leads to lasting success. He said:

“What I am seeing here goes beyond my expectations. I am aware that a very few among you have considered crossing to the other side. Whoever knows them should advise them. Nobody in this country—or anywhere else—has ever succeeded through betrayal. Look at our history from 1999 till now: those who have betrayed this group, like in other groups, have never truly succeeded. I don’t know a single one.”

“They may experience temporary gains—day one, day two, year one, year two. Some appeared to be successful for 10 years, but if you ask them today, where are they? They are flat on the ground. Learn from the experiences of others; do not risk paying a heavy price through your own missteps. Work together as a family and uphold our ideology.”
