I’m Not A Perfect Dad – 2Baba Speaks Candidly On Parenting

The singer, who has eight children with four different women, made the revelation during a recent episode of the Mic On podcast, hosted by Nigerian journalist Seun Okinbaloye.

The ‘African Queen’ hitmaker highlighted the crucial role of an engaged father in a child’s life and expressed his desire to do better moving forward. He, however, emphasised his need to maintain privacy regarding his personal life.

“I want to really contribute to society positively. I want to be among those who make something meaningful happen. I want to contribute my own little quota to help society,” 2Baba said. “I have not been the best daddy. I want to do more. However, privacy is very important.”

2Baba has two children with his first partner, Sumbo Ajaba-Adeoye; three with his second partner, Pero Adeniyi; two with his ex-wife Annie Macaulay; and one with his current wife, Natasha Osawaru.

In addition to fatherhood, the singer reflected on mistakes in both his career and personal life, expressing regrets over choices he wished he could change and moments he could have handled differently.

He also spoke about a past incident in London involving a dispute with his wife, Natasha, which led to his arrest in October 2025. 2Baba accepted responsibility for his actions, describing the situation as a moment of anger that got out of hand.
